Contact Lens Evaluation

Before you order contacts...

Eyes come in many shapes and sizes, so you need to have an accurate "fitting and evalution" to make sure your lenses will fit your eyes properly.  To do this, we will take  special measurements of your eyes and its surface, checking for curvature, and other factors that will affect how your lenses fit. You may be asked if your eyes tend to be dry (this is very important in determining which type of contact lens is best for you - there are excellent silicone hydrogels for patients who experience dryness).  The front of your eyes will be examined to make sure there aren’t any problems that could contraindicate success with contacts.

Contact lenses are considered a pharmaceutical device and therefore require a prescription.  Contact lens prescriptions expire after one year.
